I paint these works in multiple layers applying color and texture. I then sand, strip and scrape the painting until it is abstracted, giving the viewer the mystical and haunting beauty found in nature. I particularly enjoy the play of light with Shadows and the subtracted details of the landscape which further recalls the fleeting fragility of nature and creates a feeling of the supernatural.  All my work is Oil on Canvas Board or reclaimed board and are 100% Reclaimed or recycled materials.
